The Paradoxes of Human Happiness, Part 2: "Joy in the Mourning" "Happy are those who mourn, for they will be comforted." Mt 5:3 (lit) Talk about a paradox! Ours is the culture that measures personal happiness by the amount of laughter or enjoyment we can accrue. We look upon 'mourners' as people to be pitied.
