Joy in Worthy Living

from His Hands Church

Message for 03/30/2025 "Joy in Worthy Living" by Justin McTeer. *All verses are NLT unless otherwise noted* Philippians 1:27-30 - Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Then, whether I come and see you again or only hear about you, I will know that you are standing together with one spirit and one purpose, fighting together for the faith, which is the Good News. 28 Don’t be intimidated in any way by your enemies. This will be a sign to them that they are going to be destroyed, but that you are going to be saved, even by God himself. 29 For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him. 30 We are in this struggle together. You have seen my struggle in the past, and you know that I am still in the midst of it. Philippians 1:27b - …[conduct] yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ Axios Matthew 5:14-16 - “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. 1 Peter 1:16 - For the Scriptures say, “You must be holy because I am holy.” Philippians 1:27-30 - Above all, you must live as citizens of heaven, conducting yourselves in a manner worthy of the Good News about Christ. Stand together Ephesians 6:10-12 - A final word: Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. 12 For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 - So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing. Romans 8:12 - Therefore, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. Struggle together 1 Peter 5:9 - Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are. Work together Philippians 2:1-2 - Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? 2 Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose.
