Think of a time in your life when you were overflowing with joy. For many people, it's at the birth of a child. That's definitely the case for me. Joy overflowed at the birth of each of my three sons. Each time I heard that first small cry, I was a mess!The birth of a child is such a roller-coaster of emotions, moving almost immediately from the anxiety and turmoil of labour to overflowing joy at delivery. Jesus said, "When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world. So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you." (John 16:21-22)As we enter week three of Advent, we will explore this concept.
