Joy to the World
from Deep Dive Hosted by Calvary Church
Poetry is not a container for ideas, rather it pokes holes in our containers to allow the ideas to get out and be felt. In this episode of our Deep Dive podcast, Brad, Dan, and Chris take a look at the famous Christmas song and inspiration for our December 2021 Christmas teaching series "Joy to the World." What does poetry do in us that propositional truth can't? Why is singing Christmas songs so important for the people of God? What shaping effect does singing this song have on the church? How can Christmas songs be good opportunities for evangelism? They tackle these questions and more. Have a question that you'd like to hear discussed on a future episode?
