Let’s get back to TA & Recruiting. My guest today JP Elliot is the Vice President of Talent Management for DICK’S Sporting Goods. He is responsible for leading the talent strategy and all talent acquisition, learning and development, and organizational effectiveness initiatives across the enterprise. Prior to taking this role, JP was the Senior Vice President of HR for The Brink’s Company, and earlier Executive Director at Lenovo the #1 PC maker in the world with over $35 Billion in sales. Before moving into internal roles, JP was a senior consultant with Sibson Consulting where he partnered with Fortune 500 companies to optimize their talent management practices and accelerate the development of their global leaders. Asia and Greater China. Along the way, JP took a slight detour from the world of HR and co-founded a successful brand strategy and design firm that featured clients like Warner Bros, Fox, and LEGO to name a few. JP received his PhD in Organizational Psychology from Alliant International University where he has served as an Adjunct Instructor and developed an advanced seminar on Talent Management. More recently, JP co-authored a chapter in The Talent Management Handbook 2 nd edition and an early contributor for Talent-Quarterly. JP currently resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with his beautiful wife, Christiane, and his two wonderful children, Hudson and Harper. We go DEEP into #TA and #recruiting on this show.
