JSP Blast - Public Service Loan Forgiveness Overhaul

This is a new show type that we are calling the JSP Blast.  I shortened episode that focuses on breaking news or topics that we want to get out to listeners sooner rather than later.   This episode discuss Public Service Loan Forgiveness.  We briefly touch on the history of the program, the pitfalls thus far, and the reason for the JSP Blast the waivers that were put into place on October 6, 2021.  Now potentially millions more people may qualify for loan forgiveness after 10 years of public service.  This includes hospital employees, law enforcement, teachers, social workers and anyone employed full time by a government agency or not-for-profit.   The deadline to apply under this waiver is October 31, 2022.  To apply and for more information check out the website studentloan.gov/pslf
