JT Toppin Returns for 2026-27 | Big 12 Basketball News

Texas Tech basketball just got a huge boost as star JT Toppin confirms he’s returning for the 2026-27 season after missing the end of last year with a torn ACL. Before the injury, Toppin was tearing it up with over 21 points and 10 rebounds per game, a dominant double-double threat and tough defender. His return solidifies the frontcourt as the team navigates changes in the backcourt with Christian Anderson Jr. heading to the NBA and new transfers coming in. The Red Raiders are now poised for a major leap next season with Toppin back — a proven scorer and rebounder ready to lead the charge.
