Juan Martín Pérez, coordinador de Tejiendo Redes Infancia en América Latina y el Caribe, analiza en Aristegui en Vivo el pronunciamiento de la Comisión Interamericana de Derechos Humanos sobre el reclutamiento de niñas, niños y adolescentes por parte del crimen organizado. La CIDH exhortó a los Estados de América a reforzar la protección de la niñez y adolescencia frente al reclutamiento forzado, además de advertir sobre el uso de nuevas tecnologías y canales digitales como vías de captación. Pérez recordó que México ha recibido recomendaciones internacionales desde hace más de una década para tipificar el reclutamiento forzado. Señaló que el Comité de Derechos del Niño de Naciones Unidas pidió al Estado mexicano legislar sobre este tema en 2011, 2015 y 2024, sin que hasta ahora se haya concretado una reforma penal autónoma.
