Judah The King | The Scepter Shall Not Depart From Judah | Genesis 49:8-12

There are several important moments in Genesis where Jesus is foreshadowed as the King of Kings. We come to learn in God's promise to Abraham and Jacobs's blessing of Judah, that the Messiah (Jesus) will descend from a long line of royal kings to be a King Himself. Here's the story so far: God Created a Kingdom and He is the King, but He made human beings to represent Him in that Kingdom. Adam and Eve rejected this call, which lead to sin and death. But God promised to defeat sin the serpent through the seed of the woman, who is also the seed of Abraham. Through Abraham's family, *and specifically Judah's royal seed,* the covenant blessings would come to the world.
