Jude Husein is the Chief of Staff in the Pennsylvania State Senate, where she is notably the only Arab staffer in the General Assembly and the youngest Executive Director of a Senate Caucus. Jude is a dedicated advocate for equity and representation, with a career rooted in advancing underserved communities. Born in Jerusalem and raised in North Philadelphia, Jude also serves as the Deputy Executive Director of PhillyBOLT, a nonprofit that works to cultivate, support, and empower grassroots leaders to drive community-led change. Jude joins the show to speak on being the only Arab in the State Senate and City legislative body, and any specific obstacles she had to face on that journey. (April is Arab American Heritage month).
