Judge Not!
from Church? Hell No · host Dennis Hall
Ordained minister Dr. Dennis Hall discusses the public's fascination with the Alex Murdaugh trial which lasted five weeks and was broadcast live inside the courtroom on cable news outlets and spawned several podcasts and at least two documentaries. He highlights the public's hope that the jurors would not be persuaded by the defense's arguments. The rush-to-judgment phenomenon in our society is part of the discussion. "A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man holds it back. . . Do you see a man who is hasty in his words? There is more hope for a fool than for him."(Proverbs 29:11) The Bible teaches two sides of the subject of judging. John chapter 8 Jesus teaches his followers and medics about judging in the story of the adulterous woman. Whether we judge or not judge is not the question – how we judge is the question!
