Judge Rules Against Homeowners Not Wanting To Follow ADU Rules

District Court Judge Stephen Patrick ruled against 2 plaintiffs who don't believe they should have to follow town rules and rent their accessory dwelling units - or ADU's. Had the ruling gone in favor of the plaintiffs, the town's affordable housing program could have been seriously compromised as the deeds on 80 ADU's would have been in question. Those 80 ADU's represent about 1 in every 6 or 7 residents of the town.
