During this time, the Angel of the Lord appears to Manoah's barren wife and promises that she will bear a son who is to be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth.The Angel instructs Manoah's wife to follow specific guidelines during her pregnancy because the child has been set apart for God's service. After the Angel appears again to Manoah and his wife, they respond with reverence and worship as they realize they have encountered a messenger from the Lord.The chapter concludes with the birth of Samson.
