Much of what we see happening in America today is a result of the government's legislation, policies, taxation, and the carrying out of laws and regulations. Biblical values matter - even among elected representatives. We must be reminded that someone's morality will be legislated across the land, and will affect a majority of people. But a government "of the people" is supposed to serve its citizens and not the other way around. Representatives are elected by the people and they are to be for the people, but if we fail to pay attention to the issues, bills, and legislation being debated, it's on us when they pass something that affects us negatively.
