Juleigh Mayfield: encore On 20 June 2026 the world lost a remarkable, inspiring and irreplaceable intersex advocate, changemaker, author, spokesperson, friend and family member – Juleigh Mayfield – aged just 51. Exactly one year ago this week Cody and Paul rounded out Season 1 of 2025 when they had the great good fortune to interview Juleigh on what was an exquisite and heartfelt conversation about Juleigh’s life. On this week’s episode of The I in Us, rounding out Season 1 of 2026, we will pay tribute to Juleigh’s life and legacy by playing that interview, an interview during which we learned about Juleigh’s early experiences, travels, journeys of self-discovery and of course, what drove her to spread her message and live life to the fullest. Juleigh once said: “We all struggle through life. My story is no more important than yours.
