Dolan is recognised as football royalty and has a plethora of awards and acknowledgements including Captain of FFA's 1979-89 Team of the Decade (2013).In 1988, the Julie Dolan Medal was announced by the Australian Women's Soccer Association to recognise the best player in the league. In 1999 Julie Dolan was inducted into Football Federation Australia's Hall of Fame.
