Julius grew up in a challenging environment in Chicago, but his grandmother always had food in the fridge, and he wanted his restaurant to be like his grandmother's house, where people can come in, get good hearty food, and feel at home. He faced challenges when opening his restaurant, including the impact of the pandemic, but he adapted by offering family meal platters. Julius also shared his journey of finding peace through Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, and how he has faced resistance and ignorance from some people in Utah.
