I just can’t help but think of how very unkind these brothers had been to Joseph. I also marvel at the continued kindness Joseph showed them. It also amazes me that God had given the ability to Joseph to know who these men were. He was able to breathe a sigh of relief about Jacob and laid eyes on Benjamin. He was so overcome by great emotion. This just warmed my heart as well. How is this possible? Only through God and His most excellent plan was Joseph’s sorrow made good. Are you struggling with forgiving a wrongdoing that you have endured for years? Is this pain so great that at times it becomes unbearable? Take it to God and lay it at His feet. Rejoice in what He did for Joseph and know He loves you just as He loved Joseph. Ask God for the ability and desire to forgive. His plan is perfect.
