But instead of going, you say you're too busy. Sounds crazy, right? That’s the kind of story Jesus tells in Luke 14—a parable about people missing out on God’s feast because they chose other things over Him. Pair that with Psalm 81, where God is literally longing for His people to just listen and follow Him. Then you’ve got Proverbs 20, reminding us how easy it is to get distracted or even wrecked by things like alcohol or reckless choices. All three passages speak to a simple but deep truth: God offers us His best, but we’ve got to be wise enough to say “yes.”________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. God Wants You In: Jesus paints a picture of God as a host, throwing open the doors of His Kingdom. Are you showing up to the party—or are other things keeping you away?2. Choices Have Consequences: Proverbs warns us about the dangers of letting anything—substances, pride, peer pressure—take the lead in our lives.
