July 15 – Keep Your Eyes on Jesus

In today’s episode, Pastor Cory Barnes shares a devotion from Hebrews 12:1–2, where believers are encouraged to run the race of faith with endurance by fixing their eyes on Jesus, “the author and finisher of our faith.” After pointing to the great examples of faith in Hebrews 11, the author reminds us that while those men and women inspire us, Jesus alone is the perfect example and source of our faith. Pastor Cory explains that Jesus is not only the One who initiates our faith but also the One who leads, sustains, and brings it to maturity. Like a captain guiding a ship, He faithfully directs every step of our journey, supplying everything we need to follow Him. This truth frees us from relying on our own strength or wondering if we have enough faith for life's challenges. Instead, we are invited to depend completely on Christ, trusting Him to provide the faith, wisdom, and endurance we need.
