He said to his servant, “Go up and look out to sea.” He went up and looked, but reported, “There is nothing.” Seven times he said, “Go look again!” And the seventh time the youth reported, “There is a cloud as small as a man’s hand rising from the sea.” Elijah said, “Go and say to Ahab, ‘Harness up and go down the mountain before the rain stops you.’” All at once the sky grew dark with clouds and wind, and a heavy rain fell. ~1 Kings 18:42–45Prayer:Our Lady of Mount Carmel, your arrival was prophesied by the vision of Elijah the prophet when he saw the small cloud rising from the sea. From that cloud, rain quenched the arid earth. Through you, the true rain of mercy continues to fall upon us in the form of your divine Son. Please pray for me, that my thirst from the dryness of my soul will always seek satisfaction only in your Son and the mercy He pours forth. Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for me. Jesus, I trust in You.Source: Free RSS feed from mycatholic.life — Copyright © 2026 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. This content is provided solely for personal, non-commercial use.
