Isaiah writes as if he were watching from the foot of the cross, centuries before it happened, describing how the Servant would be despised, rejected, pierced for our transgressions, and crushed for our iniquities. Yet even as the Servant suffers, God promises comfort, restoration, and an everlasting covenant of peace for His people.
