There is gold and abundance of costly stones, but the lips of knowledge are a precious jewel.” — Proverbs 20:14–15“He looked up and saw the rich putting their gifts into the offering box, and he saw a poor widow put in two small copper coins. And he said, ‘Truly, I tell you, this poor widow has put in more than all of them.’” — Luke 21:1–3________________________________________Have you ever bought something cheap and bragged about how you got a great deal—even if it meant someone else got the short end of the stick? Or maybe you’ve seen people show off their wealth and thought, “They must be doing everything right.” But Proverbs 20:14–15 reminds us that wisdom and honesty are more valuable than gold, and Luke 21 shows us that God sees the heart, not just the numbers. A poor widow gave only two small coins, but Jesus said her gift was greater than all the rich offerings. Why?
