July 22, 2018 | Humanae Vitae 50th Anniversary

This year marks the 50th anniversary of Pope Paul VI’s landmark encyclical “Humanae Vitae” (“Of Human Life”). To mark the occasion, Archbishop William E. Lori of Baltimore wrote a pastoral reflection on human life and love, calling Catholics to ponder the important teaching of the church. This edition of “Catholic Baltimore” features Edward Herrera, director of the archdiocesan Office of Family Life, talking in the first segment about resources for couples. In the second segment, Archbishop Lori talks about his own parents and other faithful couples help him live out his vocation as a priest and bishop, and suggests ways for people to take another look at “Humanae Vitae.”
