Gossip spreads fast—and it hurts. Proverbs 20:19 reminds us to be careful about who we trust with our words and how we speak about others. But there’s another side to this: whose words are we listening to? In Luke 24, Jesus meets two disciples who are confused and heartbroken. But when He walks with them and explains the Scriptures, something powerful happens—they feel their hearts come alive. Gossip may stir drama, but God’s Word stirs truth, clarity, and passion. So the real question is: are we tuning in to the voice of the world or the voice of Jesus?________________________________________THINK ABOUT IT1. Jesus Speaks Life: The disciples didn’t recognize Jesus right away, but they felt the impact of His words. When you read Scripture, do you pay attention to how God might be speaking to you through it?3. Walk With the Right People: Proverbs warns us not to stick close to “babblers”—those who stir drama.
