July 25 – Arm Yourself with the Mind of Christ

Using the imagery of a soldier preparing for battle, Peter reminds us that our greatest weapon is not physical strength but a Christ-centered mindset. Pastor Robert explains that Peter is not teaching that suffering makes us sinless, but that willingly enduring hardship for the sake of obedience demonstrates a settled commitment to Christ. When we choose faithfulness over comfort, we declare that sin is no longer our master and that our allegiance belongs to Jesus. This decision is not made in the middle of the trial but long before the trial arrives. As we daily align our minds with Christ, choosing God's will over our own desires, we are strengthened to remain faithful regardless of the cost.
