July 8 - Miraculous (Wednesday)

Why did Jesus want them to get in the boat if He knew a storm was coming?  And He KNEW a storm was coming.  In a very real display of the humanity of Jesus, He's resting; asleep in fact.  The disciples, however, are wide awake and scared to death. Do you ever feel like your surroundings press in so hard you won't survive? And at that same time does it ever feel like God is asleep during your struggle? Jesus was growing their faith. They would need it in the days to come when they would be tortured for believing.  He was calming more than just the storm. Miraculous - Mark 4:35-41
