On the first Friday of every month, I choose a new book for our book group, You Gotta Read This!This month I'm choosing Jesus and John Wayne: How White Evangelicals Corrupted a Faith and Fractured a Nation. It's written by historian Kristin Kobes DuMez (a professor at my alma mater, Calvin University!). It is a New York Times bestseller, and it was the publisher's "surprise hit" of 2020. It's a great complement to our new series, "Waking Up to the Patriarchy."
