Jumper Vs. Push! Which One Was Actually Good?
from Flick Fights! Hosted by Flick Fights!
It’s a paranormal power struggle, a superhuman showdown between two franchises that Hollywood was absolutely sure were going to happen! This week on Flick Fights, we’re heading back to the late 2000s as Jumper (2008) takes on Push (2009)! Hayden Christensen is David Rice, a young man who discovers he can teleport anywhere in the world—only to learn that people like him have been hunted for centuries. Chris Evans is Nick Gant, a telekinetic hiding from a shadowy organization determined to control and weaponize people with psychic abilities. Both movies gave us secret superpowered societies, sinister organizations, stacked casts, and worlds practically begging for sequels that... never showed up. We break it all down across 10 rounds, including Pick Your Power, Power in Motion, The Hunters, Superpowered Romance, Beyond the Powers, and the painfully appropriate Wasted Potential. It’s Jumpers vs. Movers. Paladins vs. Division. Hayden Christensen vs. Chris Evans. Teleportation vs. an entire buffet of psychic bullshit. Which forgotten superpowered movie deserved to become the franchise it was clearly trying to start? 00:00 Intro 02:06 Tale of the Tape 06:37 Jumper 01:02:54 Push 02:03:32 Round 1 02:06:08 Round 2 02:07:55 Round 3 02:10:13 Round 4 02:12:18 Round 5 02:15:28 Round 6 02:17:49 Round 7 02:19:50 Round 8 02:21:05 Round 9 02:22:49 Round 10 02:26:32 Trivia Facts 02:32:04 Flick Frights!
