June 13 – Nothing but Christ

In today’s episode, Pastor Cory Barnes shares a devotion from Philippians 3, where Paul reflects on all of the accomplishments, credentials, and achievements that once gave him confidence before ultimately declaring them worthless compared to knowing Jesus Christ. Though Paul possessed an impressive spiritual résumé by human standards, he recognized that none of those things could make him righteous before God. This message reminds listeners that righteousness does not come through personal effort, religious achievement, family heritage, good works, or spiritual accomplishments. Instead, it comes solely through faith in the finished work of Jesus Christ. Pastor Cory encourages believers to resist the temptation to approach God based on what they have done and instead rest confidently in what Christ has already accomplished on their behalf.
