June 1915 -- The lights go on in Floresville

It was a spark that changed everything! On June 19, 1915, electricity came to Floresville and changed the landscape of Wilson County forever. According to a brief history of the Floresville Electric Light & Power System (FELPS), at https://www.felps.us/about-us/about-felps/, Floresville Mayor S.V. Houston pressed the button that lit up Floresville in the night.
