June 25 – Stir Up the Gift of God

In today’s episode, Pastor Cory Barnes shares a devotion from 2 Timothy 1:6, where Paul encourages his spiritual son Timothy to “stir up the gift of God” that had been imparted to him. Writing from prison near the end of his life, Paul urges Timothy not to allow the pressures, disappointments, or responsibilities of ministry to extinguish the passion and calling God had placed within him. This message reminds listeners that seasons of weariness and spiritual dryness do not mean God’s gifts or purposes have been withdrawn. Because God’s gifts and calling are irrevocable, the embers of His work remain, even when the fire seems dim. Pastor Cory encourages believers to intentionally fan those embers into flame through prayer, worship, declaring God’s promises, and spending time in His presence.
