June 5 - The Trinity: God the Father
from The KJD Devotional Podcast Hosted by Dr Olujide Arije
Trinity is the theological concept and, indeed the doctrine on the composition of the Godhead. The Godhead is the concept of how God exists and has revealed himself to us, for us to understand and interact with him. The word Trinity is not found in the Bible but believers since after Christ have come to commonly use the word to represent God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. These are not three separate Gods, but God manifests in three separate ways. For instance, to my wife I am a husband; to my kids, I am a father; and to my parents, I am a son. These are three different ways I exist and three different roles I play, yet they are all present in the singular me. This is a weak analogy, but it helps to shed some light on this mystery.
