June is a Queen

Today, we chat with the radiant June Jambalaya—drag queen, performer, and Jacksonville native (just like Tyler). June shares her journey from church stages to RuPaul’s Drag Race, how attending an arts high school changed everything, and why drag became her way to reclaim power and tell her story. We talk dance rejection, chosen family, coming out during a hurricane, and the joy of creating space for queer expression. Also: church performances, auditioning as a joke, smoking with dad, and honoring her drag mother, Jiggly Caliente. It’s heartfelt, funny, and full of grace.
