June Stars
from Venus & Vesta Evolutionary Astrology
On this episode of the Venus & Vesta podcast your host, Ann-Louise Holland, explains why this month's stars are not to be feared, despite it involving the most evil demon star in the heavens, Algol. For 10 days Mercury is retrograding and sitting right on Algol, and this is quite unusual. KEY TAKEAWAYS Mercury being the trickster, it isn’t really clear what we’re looking at, and of course there are a lot of things we’re looking at in terms of our social and political environment, and a lot of people are fixing their ideas to one theme, but actually it’s multi-layered. In the corporate or political world someone is going to get a beheading – to lose their head – meaning they’re going to be on the top of a bank/a political institution/a corporate entity and the top of that head is going to be lost. Algol is a star in Medusa’s hair, and Medusa was he maiden in the temple of Athena who was raped by one of the gods and Athena was jealous… thought there are stories that Medusa desecrated the temple by enticing one of the gods to sleep with her on the steps of the temple. We’re told this through a patriarchal sense that all women who do this and strayed are the temptress. Or was she actually raped and this was why Athena was jealous. Either way, Medusa was cursed. You’ll find that most healers have something on Algol, or Chiron and Algol, that there is a message here the even though you go through many trials, what or how you show up as, and by keeping true to yourself, that you turn up and be the saviour. BEST MOMENTS ‘Algol is the evillest star in the heavens and its theme is death by decapitation. In antiquity, it was only those that died honourably that were allowed to be beheaded.’ ‘A beheading was done in a spiritual way in that when the head leaves the body it takes what it knows into a more spiritual dimension and what remains in the body stays on earth to be regenerated within the Karmic loop.’ ‘We have to look in the mirror, not only at what is behind us but at ourselves and see what we might be causing within our lives. What have we brought to ourselves and how might we see what we’ve created?’ ‘If we are cursed, maybe the curse goes back on the person that was trying to inflict it on us. In this case we have to be impeccable about what we think about other people. Are we unwittingly cursing someone by speaking bad about them or thinking bad thoughts about them.’ ABOUT THE HOST Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/venusandvesta/?hl=en Website - https://www.venusandvesta.com Ann-Louise Holland is a shamanic homoeopath, herbalist and astrologer.
