He's the reason why I got back in the game (DJing). After hearing Junior Vasquez playing @ this event in Orlando, Florida during Gay Day's back in 2001 is when I got the bug again to play. Junior took us on a major musical journey that night... & I was blessed to hang in the DJ booth to watch him work his magic & that's pretty much when our friendship began. I remember giving him my rosary beads before I left that event as a sign of respect & a new beginning to my DJ life. On the Junior's "Generation Next" album He's wearing the rosary beads I gave him & also had me remix the first release off that album & also do an original track for that compilation which came out on Tommy Boy Records/The Silver Label back in 2009'. Now back to this classics mix recorded live @ the Sound Factory, NYC back in 1992'. Brother goes DEEEEP!! Junior's musical style evolved so much. That's why I love him so much... some DJ's stay stuck in a musical style... & that's not me. In any case, enjoy this dope mix.
