Just Another Father's Dream (See Detail)
from Chris Pendergraft Music Rss · host Chris Pendergraft
Iwrote the lyrics for this song a few months ago. I was having trouble, and I went to speak to my Father, I feel so full of music it drives me to exhaustion, and I asked my dad if I was crazy, he looked at me with such assurance, like this was the most stupid question I could ask. Sometimes that all a father needs to be is just a grounding force for even an adult child. When my son was born I prayed for one thing, not talent or wealth, not for him to be a great man, but I prayed for him to be a goodman. That is what this world needs. Just Another Father's Dream Words and music by Chris Pendergraft Father’s gaze Mother’s Pride He looks down At his eyes And wonders if he’ll make the grade Either way HE’ll raise him up Show em’ how Life can be rough and all the time He’ll guide his hand with love maybe he’ll get be more than just a working man It just another father’s dream that he will be a good, good man maybe he can be more than just another working man the world just seems short on good , good men some of us dare to dream witch can be bleak often disappointing Some of us dare to dream cuz we don’t know any better Some of us dare to dream Because we see That the world can be better
