As a retirement gift to one another, Paul Spackman and his wife planned a European River Cruise with assistance from wellness travel expert and travel agent, Barbara. They sailed down the Danube on the Avalon View, a new beautiful new ship from Avalon Waterways. The river cruise started in Budapest, Hungary, ending in Deggendorf, Germany. After the cruise, they spent a few extra days in Switzerland.
