He’s looking for faithful. When Paul says, “It is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful,” he’s reminding us that we are stewards of all that God has given us—our time, our talents, our voices, our influence, our opportunities. None of it is truly ours. It’s all on loan from Heaven, and one day, we’ll give an account for what we did with what we were given.
