In this episode, we go over the newly released Oxferd Comma investigation memos, which show that just days after Comey was fired, Acting FBI director Andy McCabe opened a full investigation into Trump. The very next day, it was taken away from him and given to Special Counsel Mueller. We’ve long known this took place, but we never knew the name of the investigation, and the versions of these memos that were released years ago had more redactions than the new ones do.Next we catch up on the most important June and July filings in the criminal case against the SPLC. Since the superseding indictment was unsealed on June 2, the defense has filed a motion for show cause (seeking contempt/sanction against the DOJ for a draft version of the indictment being sent to the media) and made filings in support of that effort and a motion to dismiss for vindictive prosecution.Finally, we cover the latest in the DOJ’s criminal probe of the 2020 election in Fulton County, where a district judge has granted the county’s motion to quash.
