Excellent news, beloved listeners! We have a new kind of episode to present to you this week: Remake Rumble, where we pit an original film against it's remake to see which is better. We’re going to open this new episode format with a fun pair of films - John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) and it’s 2005 remake! Matty and Ezra start by describing the plots of the films, so if you haven’t seen them yet they have you covered! Additionally, if you haven’t seen them yet and want to see one or both of them without spoilers, we recommend doing that first. From there, they start their deep dive into the differences, what they liked and what they didn’t like about both films, and overall explain why they picked their winner of this rumble (the answer may not surprise you).
