Justice at the Table

from It Is Written Canada · host IIW Canada

Fears of a global food crisis are growing, and it’s getting worse: Close to one billion people regularly go to bed hungry, and one expert told us that soon these people will be living on one meal a week. In this episode, Justice at the Table with Steve Matthews, ADRA Canada’s Executive Director, we focus on one specific region known as Turkana county in the country of Kenya, which has an estimated population of 1.4 million. Droughts in Turkana in recorded history started in 1952, and would re-occur once every ten years or so; however, the current drought has lasted for five consecutive years, leaving all the people hungry, and almost all livestock dead. By partnering with ADRA Canada, learn what you can do to help alleviate this food crisis in Turkana and throughout the world.
