Justice For Truckers. This past week Rogel Aguilera-Mederos, the trucker that was involved in a quadruple fatality in 2019, was resentenced for the deadly crash. Originally Aguilera-Mederos received 110 years in prison for the charges of vehicular homicide. He was given clemency by the Governor of Colorado and his sentence was dropped to 10 years. With good behavior he could be out of prison at the end of 2026. JUSTICE FOR TRUCKERS Some safety violations can turn into misdemeanor or felony convictions Paul O. Taylor recently wrote an article outlining violations that truckers take for granted. There are several violations that truckers commit everyday without realizing the consequences could mean jail time. For example, an employment application. Yes, did you know when you falsify a driver application, it could lead to jail time. The bottom line, it's a federal offense because all truckers are underneath federal rules.
