Justin Ammons, the Memphis, TN native was a 3 year contributor for the Tennessee Volunteers. He had the opportunity to play for Coach Serrano and Coach Vitello. Justin talks about the distinct difference between the two Head Coaches. He details the inevitable struggles that comes along with playing in the SEC. Justin talks about the journey of going 7-21 in conference play his Freshman Year to making the SEC Tournament and strong postseason run Junior Year. Ammons discusses the importance of diversity in baseball, especially at the collegiate and professional level. This adjustment will allow more kids of color to enter the game of baseball and feel comfortable doing so. Justin ended up being a free agent signee with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019.
