In this episode of Zone2Speak we welcome guest, Justinas Leveika, a Lithuanian ultra cyclist and nurse.  Justinas shares his journey into cycling and ultra cycling. Ultra cycling is defined as cycling for at least 24 hours, where tactics like resting and nutrition come into play. Justinas emphasizes the importance of being flexible and adaptable in his training and races. He also reveals his secret weapon for preventing cramps (you got to listen to find out!). Justinas organized his own race called Bright Midnight, which allows riders to experience the beauty of riding through the night in Norway where in the summer it never gets dark. He highlights the sense of community and growth within the ultra cycling world. The principal theme of the conversation is the sense of equality and adventure that unites all cyclists, regardless of their background or identity. He also talks about the highs and lows of the Tour Divide race, the importance of finding a balance between comfort and performance in bike components, and the value of local bike shops. Justinas shares his experience with coaching and the importance of learning from personal mistakes. He also discusses his plans for the future, including working as a nurse and volunteering at a bike shop, his love for exploring and experiencing new places while cycling.
