Het Openbaar Ministerie in Luik opent een onderzoek naar de oorzaak van de grote natuurbrand in het Belgische natuurgebied de Hoge Venen. Vooralsnog wordt rekening gehouden met ‘onopzettelijke brandstichting’. Twee Nederlandse helikopters helpen inmiddels bij de bestrijding van de brand, ruim 3000 hectare aan natuur is inmiddels verbrand.
