Juvenile kills man in fight at group home, CMPD says

Police say a fight at a group home in northwest Charlotte led to a man dying on Thursday.The incident happened on Thursday around 8 p.m. at a group home on Swearngan Road, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department. A man was pronounced dead at the scene by Medic and CMPD labeled his death as a homicide. Officers believe the man died after a fight broke out between him and a juvenile at the group home. Police say the man lived and worked at the group home.
