I'm very excited to bring you Michael layer in person in studio Kill Tony legend in the house comedy legend in general. I love this guy. You guys love him. Thank you better box studios for making the show happen speed weed.

Thank you like comment below. All that stuff helps share with the pal without further ado. It's our buddy Michael layer on Jeremiah wonders. I did the screen test and the camera broke one and they all tried to ice you hard like they I show in the room from one to three hours and then they I shoot in 30 rocks days.

Yeah. And like and then when you make the camera guy break is like, all right, Lewis, they accept. Yeah, absolutely. I mean, I mean, I mean, that high stakes scenario.

I mean, any anything is a huge victory, you know, right? Especially when when they're like, I mean, it's known they're like, see what they do if we don't tell when they're going on and we try not to laugh. Yeah, that's the one they want to see who has nerves about them. Oh, yeah, who has been who has done enough bad gigs where they can somewhat relate to that weird scenario because like if you do enough spots, you know, if you do enough spots or stand up spots and you've bombed enough times, you know, kind of that feeling of silence and not to expect anything just to keep on going through.

Yeah, can you find your coherence and big deep? Yeah, I mean, yeah, I mean, I'm sure that that kind of shows like it separates somebody who's like more of a novice than to somebody who has poison. I got this. Yeah, it's seven.

And right. It's raining me right the plug out. And then no, but that was fun. I was far better coming now than I was when that happened.

How many years ago was that audition? When 80 got hired? So it would have been 1314. Yeah, somewhere around there.

Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. Yeah, because you were doing improv at on the Chicago main stage, right? Well, yeah, it's easy. But every year, the best thing about those stages is every year, either one person from SNL or all of them come and watch what you do.

And they, that year, all of them, Lauren, the guy who is Jimmy Fallon's voice, who's a producer on SNL. Oh, I know exactly. Ray Carino, he's a friend of every coming. And they all came back stage after the show.

And usually one or two person will get flown out for the screen test flew all of us. All six. And Lauren, right before we left, Steve Higgins, Steve Higgins. Yeah, I talked to him almost nine and then Lauren right before he left.

Didn't want to know. Hey, great job. And then I was like, yeah, you know, I mean, that's a validation that you're looking for, especially when you're showcasing for those people. Right.

And then the lurchin that I humbly admit to is then when Lindsay sugars their producer called me, she's like, here's some instructions. I'm like, yeah, you know, and then all and do my edition and don't get the job. For real, you know, in the mind of my comic, you look bang on like literally they told me we love this character doing a home at the point. I'm like, I'm not gonna do that.

Well, as a comic, you know, sometimes, not sometimes most of the time, we are very hard headed where we're like, no, I know what's funniest. I know what's best. I want to show you what I think is the right thing, where when it comes down to networked stuff, it becomes a little bit more complicated without a doubt, but they were right this time. I was too excited from that.

When Michael's back, Pat, that I was my mom, and I stopped listening to everyone. What was the character that they told you to do, but that you're like, yeah, what was that one? The best piece I've ever known is I can say the one that everyone is like, oh, man, I could so see John Hamm guessing and doing it. And it was a rare, like, simple character for me.

And it was simply a real estate agent who was scared of the dog. So every new room, they're screaming before they flip the lights and then they, you know, tell 800 square feet. And so, yeah, wow. I mean, it's getting full.

I know I'm behind a glass or the just you describing it. I mean, I mean, I can see I can picture it as soon as you start describing to me. I'm like, oh, yeah, that's yeah. And I was like, click.

No. It's like, let me do these half hours. You know, like sometimes as comics, we lied to ourselves about what's good and though like this will be good enough because it's easier and then not to listen or like, yes, the bosses don't know we know what's funnier than us. But if you want that job, the boss, you know, I'm not saying so.

But, you know, do the fucking real estate. They just who scared of the dog you fucking moron. It's a good tip. That's a good tip.

Well, you know, what's kind of interesting about that story is it go it's a weird, it's a weird, you know, how there's weird lessons in comedy that you learn some, some early on, and then sometimes you like are like, oh, this is a lesson that I learned a long time ago. It kind of goes back to listening. Like with improv, that's like such an important aspect of improv is just like taking everything in and being present and being like, okay, I understand what you're saying. Yes, I'll do that.

And I'll do these other characters as well that fit your, you know what I mean? Yeah, I'm honing. Except again, where I was tragically one was like that character. I loved like it's my favorite thing ever.

And for some reason, I still said I'm not doing that. Yeah, I mean, dude, that's what the crazy thing is about high stakes and areas is like sometimes, dude, I've done so many showcases where I've talked myself out of doing a bit that I loved. Oh my god. I've done it so many times in stand up showcases.

And then the showcases pass. I don't get the thing. And I'm like, why didn't I stick to my gut? Like, like you learn over and over again, like trust your gut like the longer that you're doing comedy.

I haven't I've done it countless times. And cham I like to take it that actually point to making them my mean where they're here. I am. Like, a lot of people ask me questions in regards to my disease or what I do or like how amazing and how and you know, I didn't plan any of this and holy shit, I started stand up after three years, sick in the room one year ago, this month.

And what you just said about trusting what you believe in your own comedic voice, I'm all that they was that in Buffalo at the Nazi bars when I'm doing the open mics, three minutes working harder on those than I did on my new set, my new face Montreal set in 2014, because the six year high and I want to scream and be a calming and I really quickly was like, wow, trust yourself. And my workout better. I worked harder. And the bits took care of everything.

I didn't have now were you and Tony, you know, the glory of God touched Tony's hand and pulling out my name. But I am I knew and I need not have to tell myself and remind myself, I knew quality rises at the top. And if I bang and then everything else will take care of it. Yeah, that's great advice for any comic listening or any person who is just wanting to succeed at something is stressing yourself, right?

It goes back to that and and the patience with the quality will rise at the top because as comics, we all get so frustrated and it's really easy, you know, to see it's really easy for people to see things that other comics get and get jealous and be like, how come I'm not getting that thing? I'm good too, you know, like it's really easy to play that game, but it's like, if I've learned anything, like everything happens in due time, like if you're putting in the right amount of work and and putting out the right amount of quality, and that's how I definitely feel about comedy in general, everything takes it takes way longer than you'd like. Well, there's also an aspect to it that we can never talk about, which is you might never be funny because you're incapable of saying something funny or original or inspiring or resonating ever in your fucking life. So maybe that's why you won't get the jobs.

That is a that is another true aspect of his business as well. It is. Yeah, I mean, I am the I'm like my cop overflowing. I mean, I mean, you know, you get a send me by this point and what Cal Tony means to me and how much healthy I am and I'm so excited every moment about it.

And when I'm creating and that creating is most of the time reacting off of, you know, like our Pee-Wee's play out, you know, and I love that. One of my favorite things that you do is that not many people do as a stand up is that they, like at least on the show, is they get right into their material and they're so worried about getting every word right, you know what I mean? And you like to cover and you'll riff on things that happen earlier in the episode that comes from your imperial background and just like knowing, well, I can riff off this and this is this will do well. You know what I mean?

Well, it's on my little peeking. I want to show everyone that witty. I mean, it's solid. Thank you.

Yeah. And then like if you I mean most people who are probably watching this or listening to this have listened to or watch the show, Kill Tony, if not, you got to check out Michael there on Kill Tony, the effort that you put into these bits every week, I really respect as a person who I'm always trying to think of the next bit or the next character or the next impression to try to crack. And I know how much effort is going into every week with these things when, you know, you could as a comic easily just piece of stuff together like you're saying, it's real easy to talk yourself into lowering the quality of the stuff that you're outputting because it's easier and you're like, no, this is good. Yeah, no, this is funny.

But like you're literally putting your nose against the grindstone and be like, no, I'm going to try to outdo myself every week with these different bits. I appreciate that. I just wish I cared about your respect. We'll be right back after this.

Yeah, I mean, you know, and people ask me a lot of questions about that. Like people are like, how do you ever get brothers playing the audition? And they're always questioned. I'm unable to answer because I don't think like, and literally maybe about joke instruction, I see slices of life to put it maybe poorly, but simply.

And I fucking bang on that satar. I see my I engineered the words to let the audience know how I see this, my point of view on this thing that I think resonates with on. Yeah, I think that that's how you like break it down for consumption and stuff like that. That's that's part of the art of like more like the method behind the art is like, I'm going to break this down and make this where it's palatable for you, where you can easily jump on this.

And I'm not, you know, not having to be like a beautiful mind, like deconstructing the joke. It's like, here you go. Exactly. Yeah, I mean, there's so much I talked to so many comedians who talk about comedy so much, but we're not making comedy.

So like, I'm just gonna keep making comedy and learning, trying to be better. And I've said this before, and you know, I'm the dramatic intense person, and I say these type of things, but I'm so excited to be a comic right now. And not in a flaming way, because I'm not like that. I mean, towards what's going on.

I present, I mean, I'm not gonna stand up for my character. My mom, I am watching, and I can't fucking wait to talk about it. That's it. And one amazing thing that we get to do, you know, and I want to say this link, because, you know, a second city on fire now, and I'm an alumni from there for 10 years.

And there is so much pain going on in comedy right now, and the world, right? But it's blending to comedy. But to me, comedy, the word might as well be in community. And I see shows like Kill Tony, or a plethora of podcasts that watch these melting pots of people where we don't pretend we don't have them.

And we talk about them and have fun with them. You know, my dad, he doesn't really understand what they're showing. And he's like, Oh, am I gonna be the oldest person in there? I go, you might not be the oldest person performing.

Like, you know, like the variety of people and voices we get more in Kill Tony. We into my show now. I would love to see an episode of Kill Michael. So let's put that out there.

Hashtag Kill Michael is trending now on all the socials. That episode is coming up. But hopefully three to five years. Okay, great.

Too dark for you. Wasn't like one of the many times I know, you know, like, um, you know, Joe Berg said, I'm ripped. And I'm like, cousin, my decision. And no one loves him.

Like, maybe I should calibrate that a little bit. Yeah, without the shaking of the yelling. More of a dead, more of a dead pan delivery. Yeah.

Yeah. Well, also what is, I mean, man, I'm gonna talk about this time, more on money. But what I love that I feel like I'm with this thing is that the beginning. And of course, like, I came to beat down when there was always knowing that it was like, you know, disabled, disabled, you die soon.

And now like everyone's getting to know me. And when I make the same jokes, they just get sad. How funny is that? Right?

You have the comedy as a cruel mystery sometimes. Oh, man. I mean, you're like, that was the thing that you were making fun of me about. I can Tony.

What the fuck is wrong with you? To switch to switch gears slightly. Let's do something that's, that's kind of silly fun and out there. This is a segment that I call wig.

Now I've got a box of wigs here, Michael. And basically, I'm gonna choose one for you. You're gonna choose one for me. And we're gonna figure out who these people are together.

All right. I've got, so I've got these box of wigs right here. Ignore the names that I have label on them. But I've got like a classic gray haired wig.

I've got this brown haired guy. I've got kind of a, what makes you think you need to give me a wig tutorial? Can I just pick one? You can't?

All right. It's more for the viewers and the listeners. Like I'm painting a picture for people who are listening. The peasant?

I mean, you know, we have different ideas of listeners peasants. Yeah. But yeah, yeah. No, I just mean all my fans are peasants.

Oh, you call them all peasants? Yeah, but they like it. I'm doing, I think you're gonna get the role in this really 10 mobile pigs. You're like daddy Warbucks before he lost all his hair.

Yeah. Shressed from being rich. They're stock money. I think that you look like you could do some form of magic.

Definitely. Also, you could work at a hair salon. Yeah. Like I'm coming in early and do my highlights and get that blow out.

Exactly. Yeah. Exactly. I feel it.

All right. And you want me to say where you look? Yeah. Yeah.

Yeah. First of I get full out boy. You know the band? Yeah.

Yeah. Do they sing that song? Is this more than you? If I am dying to tell you anything you want to hear?

Is that the right band? They're going down. Like I just are you for real? Are you a train singer?

I grew up doing a lot of choir and stuff like that. Yeah. So I say for years and like a different choir. Also, you know I'm trying to produce like records, you know bands and some bigger bands.

And I ask them. I'm like I always been curious like what percentage of like rock singers have vocal training. It goes almost none. Oh yeah.

I was so surprised maybe because I'm using my classical training. Yeah. I'm like to hear these songbirds even the rough ones. They actually wrote them.

You know like a hell of a voice. Yeah. And they're like most of these dudes didn't take voice lessons. It was randos.

Our voice lessons are a lot of bullshit. Well, our voice lessons like the stand up classes. Yeah. It's like you can't take them.

It'll teach you some techniques and stuff. Raps are going. Yeah. Raps.

You'll get raps and. Yeah. You'll get up. Yeah.

You're gonna. You're right. You know you need deadlines. You need deadlines.

True. True. And you'll have a deadline and you're right. And you'll get them and they'll be a supportive environment.

Your character just became a stand up comedy coach. They're like like I'm an open mic or you're a stand up comedy coach. All right. I just I don't know if there's necessarily too many pros.

I mean a lot of people just tell me I can just go to another one. Well, first of all, I want to get the change that I don't know to you. I know because you do know. I do know.

Yeah. Now I said question. I know that stand up comedy classes are a good idea. Yeah.

How much how much money are you charging for this class? E-relement. Okay. What's relevant is that I reach into your soul and I pull out the funny.

I shake the shit out of you and like loose teams, my motherfucking funny is gonna fall out. Okay. Well, could you give me maybe an example of one of the exercises because your pamphlet says $350? Yeah.

Yeah. No, it's pro-rating among the lessons. But trust me. Can I get the amateur rated?

No. In fact, when I do all the lessons, you're gonna be like, wow, that was $500 worth this stand up class. I got a deal. But I've an exercise for you.

Okay. Great. All right. So it's all about getting you out of your head so you can get to the sweet mana, you know, the chore of your tank, you know, like the G-spot demon, your asshole and make everyone's balls tick on all the pussy sweat.

So. Well, I'm thinking about going more into like Christian comedy route. So can you give me a different example? What?

Fair. All right. Let's do that. That's a big circuit.

I heard I mean, like a lot of money doing that. All right. Well, you're right. Let's start with that.

And I'll help you develop Christian comedy. So when you start by saying, I don't want to start talking about a Christian subding, Mario, subding matter that would work on a Christian show. And when I say new choice, you have to change the last thing you said. And trust me, as the teacher, when you get to the third, fourth, seven new toys, that's where the sweet honey of the rock is.

Okay, cool. So I guess what we can talk about Lazarus, do you know that is? Yeah, what about that? Okay, well, like he died, right?

And then he came to us. Well, that's actually what happened in the Bible. But okay, I'm sorry. Listen, send up class.

Now you're a Bible study. Oh, so in impromptu and comedy, we take the real world of the Bible, the Lord, and we, we, I mean, word for word, and we juxtapose layer frame. Okay. And like almost like a lie, but for fun.

Okay. But there are a lot of people that would say the origin material is a lie. So you know, six and one half dozen of the other. Are you trying to convert me?

No, I'm I worshiped the devil, but I want them for myself. Okay. All right. So all right.

So we'll do this new choice game. All right. So Lazarus was a man who died, right? New choice.

All right. So Lazarus was a guy who had a lot of ladies. All right. Let me in time out.

You were like slowing down when I want you to speed up. Oh, okay. Because you're looking for the right answer. What you don't know, it's already there.

So when I say new choice, popular like it's hot. Okay. All right. So Lazarus had a lot of ladies.

New toys. So Lazarus was on fire. New toys. So Lazarus fisted a fish.

So Lazarus punched a kid in the eye. He deserved it. He shouldn't have fucked with Lazarus. Even if you're a kid, what can I stand up comedy?

Are you on Venmo? Okay. The new choice game, we did that a lot at Second City when I was there. Well, honestly, I mean, these which is funny, all those, well, like you're saying not to cut you off or it's hard to do.

But I did not to do why I don't respect you. Right. I cut you off. I lost your perspective.

I can do but continue. Is you know him? Is you know, now right now, a lot of those tools for those simple exercises that they use, like at Second City and stuff like that are worthwhile. Like it gets you like, don't go for the obvious thing right away.

You know, like try to choose a punchline that's not too like on the surface level. Yeah, that's so cool. And you interrupted to say what I was going to say. Yeah, you know, I was just trying to bounce off you.

I know interrupting and bouncing off. They get claded, but definitely one is come to you than the other. Yeah. Well, can I just say, I'll work on that, Michael.

I don't care what you're doing any of your life. I don't know you. I'm here for the platform. And she knows.

She knows not here, Michael. He's not here. Okay. So sorry that Gino, the person who you wanted to see at BetterBox is not here.

And I'm sorry that I'm just a platform for you. Okay, Michael. Well, it's clear by Caltony, like a highlander, that can only be one who is classically trained. And I mean, even though I'm the servant in this podcast, we get along with our friends and Lottie, we're each other.

There is obviously Garro animosity brewing up like volcano because we see each other for what we are. The same version of each other and there can only be one. Well, I was going to keep that going for a while. The bit Michael, I was going to, because it was like a funny joke to you just told.

No, I didn't stop it. I left alone. You stopped it by keep explaining how why you stopped. No, no, we were doing it a bit, right, Michael?

No, I'm really have this disease. I'm so confused. Like, dude, this, I know Red Man doesn't think I'm really sick. Like, it's no weird.

You really we just started talking about like, dude, that is, I mean, Red Man has made some comments to me in the past. I wasn't going to bring it up, but I wasn't aware that you were aware of it. It was more just like a closed door thing. My favorite comment, I mean, on this corner in the other night, because Red Bean came on in, I was on there and then a couple of people were like, I'm like on Red Bean right here.

And I go, believe it or not, because of where Red Bean sits, we men never actually met. That's such a funny visual to think of literally trying on one corner of the stage and you on the other corner and being like, yeah, never met the guy. I know I know he's 15 feet away from me, but you know, Hollywood is very, it's got his weird boundaries and Brian drawn his line in the in the pavement with me. I want to get into this next segment, which I think you'll like, I want to get out of this big in my union.

Yeah, let's get you out of the way. This next segment is called fanning out. So this segment is basically I reached out to people online and saw if they wanted to ask Michael Larry any questions and got hundreds of comments over 100. Why aren't those people following me or buying merch?

I don't know, where can people find merch? Michael Larry, comedy.com. And that's regular traditional spelling of Michael l E H R E R comedy.com, right? Michael, maybe we can even put a little graphic up on the screen.

There we go. We're so cool. Like both you and Tony have spelled my name right like effort of this thing a couple of times on podcast and I don't even remember your full name. I know, you know, we try to go out of our way.

Yeah, no, you guys have been good to me. That's first. I texted Michael before the podcast. I said, Hey, this is Jeremiah, we do my podcast.

And then he said, Jeremiah, who? And I said, Jeremiah from Kill Tony. And he said, do you mean kill Michael? And I was like, I mean, yes.

And he's like, okay, I'll do your podcast. This one comes from Amelia, but deal. Yeah. Oh, they really got that Instagram or Twitter.

Random reference reference. Second thing. Oh, gee. Oh, gee.

Have you seen her documentary? I'm not pretty great. Why are you exposing me? No.

It wasn't my intention to expose. But, you know, we can we can bleep that out if you want. Well, just keep in mind if you're concerned about an intention and think before you speak. You got it.

Do you have any inspirational or life-changing films, comedians, books, or other art forms in your life that you'd like to share? Wow, I love them. Very. Assuming.

Yes. Of course I do. I'm walking in spring rolling. But I'm constantly inspired, read again for the categories, knowing and think.

Do you have any basically to share any of these inspirational or life-changing films, comedians, books, or other art forms in your life? Like, yes. When I was eight years old, I turned down HBO and run the danger of introducing Andrew Diesclay to the world. When I was young, I lost my mind over amazing nothing.

The Ben Stiller Show, UCB sketches, countless in common, you know, like, but like movies. Let's talk about movies that resonate the fuck out of me that are recent, right? There are obviously ones we all uncut gems, good guys, or whenever they're sapping runners. But there was a movie a few years ago called 20 Century Women that I fucking love.

I really love meditative movies like long, like well, like, delicately engineered, like, thought provoking things. I love my thoughts, my thoughts, my thoughts. But books, my, my, no, I can't read. You know what one series that I really like?

Do you like sci-fi shows? I love men. There's this German series called Dark on Netflix, and I would recommend that if you like stuff that is thought provoking somewhat, it's about time travel. It's not like crazy thought provoking.

It's more interesting and more like the writing and the cinematography is really, really well done. If you don't mind watching subtitles or you can watch a dubbed version that they have the English voice over. I like some kind of and I really like like what inspires me, honestly, is probably from a more than comedy. Have you done any dramatic acting?

Oh, yeah. I mean, I have a favorite degree or two. But yeah, of course, I didn't, well, I did summer stock. I mean, you know, 41 and I've been on, I love how it come to this is going to sound, but I've been working professionally since I was 17.

So I may not forget. Oh, um, the night of that HBO mini series, my Nicholas Tontoro, the writer that Richard Price is lent my hero. I went to college originally to study criminal justice. So I've always done that, meant interesting it, studying it.

And then the writers out there, the crime writers, like he wrote for the wire to a little ton of shit. Like, man, what those guys are good. I celebrate over in that shit. But you know what?

Like everyone knows that comedy TV shows that everyone thought were funny that I green like flea bag or many. But one that I love that I barely heard anyone talking about is the Christian Dunst one on Showtime on becoming a god in Central Florida. Yeah, I didn't even know Christmas had a series brilliant comedy series. Really?

I think so. Up there with the rest of them. Wow. Okay.

I'll check it out. I don't like it. I'm not forcing you to watch any of it. Okay, I'll take a look at it, Michael.

You don't have to do I have shown time. I just purchased it because our buddy, Jesus Trejo has a special in there. So I have it for the month. So I'll try to watch an episode or two.

You know, when I first moved to LA to start my stand up career in October, I was first showing went to one stories on Echo, you know, that book story that does come me on the back and Hey, I'm not Jesus. Yeah, Jesus. And Lisa, I'm honest about my ignorance. But he's just close.

And the first my first experience with him and a man. Oh, man, that was fucking dope. He's great. Oh my God.

And I was just like, you know, it's like, I'm in town. The recipe, you know, it's always that places that we're going to have a good people. He closed and it's just another one. Oh, this shit is on, you know, yeah.

Yeah. Yeah. Check out his Showtime special, State Home Son. This one, let's see, let's do this one.

This is a this is an impression that I like that I suggested to us at Mona underscore deek on Twitter says you should do a debate. Jeremiah's Trump and Michael as Biden would be great to see him as slow Joe. That's all right. Right now.

All right. All right, President elect Trump and President elect Biden, a lot of people are worried about their health care now after this crisis. What is your plan moving forward after all this for the American people's health care? Should I start?

Here's the thing. I think that health care is in a very good place right now. I think things are going very well with health care. I think that that we have this COVID under control.

Like I said, months ago, people didn't believe me that this coronavirus is going to clear up when the heat struck and guess what? There hasn't been any new spikes from these protests, these mass gatherings and stuff, even though I'm not sure if it's the best thing that we should be doing right now. But I will say that the health care is stronger than it's ever been. And I think that it's a good place moving forward.

You know, in 1970, my new black and named skinny pop. And he wants to be a piece of bologna. I said, you eat all that bologna. I don't need lunch today.

I mean, I mean, not to say that he didn't answer the question. I mean, coming from me, but he didn't say anything. The souls in America, before we worry about this health care and economy. Like I said, the health care in this country is phenomenal.

It is not phenomenal. In fact, last week, I died three times. I am the fifth generation of the current Joe Biden. I am a West world robot.

And I was poorly put together. And my manufacturer warranty has run out and I'm bugging out. But the Democratic Party cannot decide on this stronger contender. Do we have another question from Marisa?

Yes. So a lot of people worry about women's issues. A lot of people think whoever you elect to be on the Supreme Court is going to be their deciding vote. So what are your thoughts on reproductive rights and equal pay for women?

Listen, what it comes down to? How do the men feel about this? You know what I'm saying? I mean, it takes two to 10 go.

You ladies always say that when you bring up the abortion stuff. It's true. So we as men should have the rights to tell you what to do with your bodies. That's just me.

I'm just saying what's on the top of my mind. I've been through a lot of pregnancy scares with with whores and different prostitutes over time. And I just think that's how I feel. Just me.

I don't know. Repur dancing is very different. And when you look like Joe Biden, yes, I would say it is very difficult. Oh, trust me, Joe Biden for me.

But let me say, reproduction is difficult. Top Earth is more difficult. But I will rub your children and make that baby come out. So Donald Trump, you have you've said in the past that you would like to have Joe Biden drug tested.

What are what are both of your thoughts on the drug crisis in this company? What are you going to do policy wise moving forward? I wasn't really aware that there was a drug crisis to be 100% honest. What's the other part of your question?

Your nerdiness started coming through while you start talking. I stopped listening to be honest halfway through. Some of my drugs, some of my problems. Listen, we're America.

We don't have anybody tried hydrogen to chloroquine lately. I mean, this stuff clears everything. Okay, have you tried a little bit of bleach? Have you tried spraying that in your mouth?

I mean, Joe, maybe you wouldn't be the fifth version of your Westworld robot self if you were taking these strong American drugs? And I've been referring people to bleachers. The one thing we can agree on becomes my veneers are police every morning. No, it's a great out for an improv scene.

Like, dude, I'm freaking done with your bit. All right, let's do a couple more questions. I'm all rounded out with some good old sex talk. Social club go ask if you could trade physical ailments with one celebrity for a day, who would it be and what would you do?

No, I have enough. Well, you'd trade the physical ailments. You're telling me you fucking cocks. I'm reading your question.

These are these are giving to me from behind. Yeah, I'm on my trade-out. I don't know. All my fucking parts you reading.

Oh, his part. Okay. Okay. And it's up the dick.

Hey, can we punch in one more time on Michael giving eyebrow raise to his camera right in the middle there? Look at a little. I don't know. I didn't see the show and know where you're laughing.

That's good. Well, dude, the face that you just made is like super inviting. Okay. Pico Graham, underscore DAB, 710 on Instagram.

What's your favorite way to get high? Flower, oil, edibles, whatever. What helps more medically and what helps you get straight, blasted much love. I think I think questions like that even though it's so clean to everyone and I'm pretty sick.

And to answer the latter, I never get straight blessing again. I mean, that's not in my real house anymore. I can't walk. I don't know what cocaine will do to me right now with the D so I don't get straight blasting.

Now the first part flower down to the second part. Everyone asked me on how does weed help me medically and you know this and that. And I got one at literally zero helper to do anything with my particular disease. But I'm super young and sick.

So I smoke all the time, you know, take the edge off. Do you ever do you ever use this? Do you ever use CBD products? I'm honestly damn mine.

You know how we feel freedom talking about anything. I worry about just business and pocket and talking about my feelings on CBD. That's the line for you. It's not my line.

It's the line. So I don't put my hand in someone else's pocket. You feel me? Oh, so basically you don't want to rep certain brands.

Is that what you're saying? No, what do you say? You don't want to put your your hands in somebody else's pockets. CBD doesn't do shit for me.

I do want to ask this question because it is something that you are an inspiring person with your with your attitude. I know. And Adam in person on Twitter says, how do you stay so positive in the face of this adversity? It really seems like you were living your life on your terms and keeping a good attitude.

And this is hard for people that don't have ALS. Yeah, I get some questions like I'm kidding. Of course, I know where it comes from. And I say that because I can't relate to the question because I never think that way.

All I think about is not comedy. But since I was four, three, I've been a comedian till the end. And like I said, comedy is community. Comedy is happening.

Comedy is healing. So people saying, how do you do an inspiration to work too hard, work so hard? I saying, I don't know what else I would do. I think a lot of people just don't have the balls.

The balls. I think they don't have the notion or the even the idea of what they want to do. So you know, I mean, I think that's where that question comes from because a lot of people who are working certain jobs, that's not a career that they want. It's a job that pays bills.

So I think that they see you and they're like, this guy's got to figure it out. What am I doing wrong? I don't have as much adversity. And yeah, he's conquering it in a more powerful way than I am my day job that I don't like.

Right. And you know, there is an optical, a miscan, something, sometimes like, so Kill Tony is introducing me as a tiny Tim in the wheelchair. And man, this kid says that don't this thing. And everyone is like, Oh my God, this kid in the wheelchair.

Yeah, it's crazy. And he got a wheelchair and now he says that don't this thing. And so questions like that, understandably come up. But you know, and I've talked about it enough at this point.

I've been grinding on my comedy eyes for over 20 years. So what I'm doing now, it's not hard. I don't wake up and like, Oh, right. I just do.

Yeah. When I went to Buffalo, and headline a week in there, helium, all the staff knew you and they lit up when they're like, you know, Michael, right? Like, yeah, I mean, they once again, optics, like here's what happened, June 26th last year. So we're June now, right?

And did I lose you? It's not a lot. I haven't performed for three years. And I literally think I'll never come home again.

And I found peace when I'm like, I ride a book or something. But he learned, um, funniest person in Buffalo come to his come home. I've always loved comedy. And I'm like, well, now that partner, now that I have the wheelchair, I can do this.

And I didn't. And then it lit the spark. And then over in the next three months in Buffalo, I did 30 sets and then moved to Elaine quickly, killed Tony Hammond. So like I showed him in the scene out of nowhere, tiny, thin, same, the known as thing.

And, um, and, you know, quickly, performing at the Nazi bars and putting my ever in the no, and they were not too much. Maybe one. Um, but, um, and, um, man, I saw it getting better. Here's a lesson to all the people out there.

Like, Kalaa has been with me every step in the way and she's on this. And even at the shitty spar, when no people, I did exactly what I do every night on killing Tony. And, um, the MC wouldn't even think. And I'm not like trashing in it.

But the author, whatever the comments people make, I don't know why someone would record these home and mics. And so, you know, I record everything. And then, of course, from those recordings, I started the foundation of my new career editing, playing. And then I went to kill Tony, um, four times before I got pink.

And I know how lucky I am from that. I, you know, I like, I believe now that the coincidence, they stack up so beautifully. I believe in a high power more than I ever am. And I believe I don't have a disease, I have a cure.

Like the way what I do is resonating with people around the world, but letters and it, I mean, it's crushingly beautiful. But a week before Tony pulled me out. And I was there, like, what Kalaan and not like, please and I don't, I mean, how could you even think that we would go there and realize, Oh my God. And like, this is just a great party every Monday night for real.

And, um, I mean, it to another comic who was, you know, there for the potluck. And I'm like, you know, commerce and, and one, um, all you doing, kill Tony? You know me, I'm excited about everything. You go, I know that really can't do anything for your career.

And I'm like, one, like, I don't, I mean, one, I dismissed and comment, I'm not where to my my career now or ever again. I mean, that's gonna my health. I'm where to my my comment. And, um, to what a dumb fucking thing to say that makes no sense.

Now, I think, man, I don't think that all the scenes have that. I think that's a very specific mentality that, uh, that I know Chicago is the worst scene ever. Oh, really? I mean, I'm kidding.

I'm climbing the improv ladder and stuff like that. No, I mean, um, seconds. I'm as being joking. I'm the second city is going through understanding and with a lot of friends of mine, um, some, um, understandable, um, addressing of long overdue racial and, and, um, it's cray cray over there right now.

And, um, what I will say about Second City since we share that, I want to touch upon that is, is, uh, so I did basically, we share nothing. Sure, nothing. Well, LA Second City, which is funny, is not, I'm not considered an alumnus. It's a very weird thing.

No, it's not weird. You shouldn't be. I'm considered a graduate. Yeah.

Second City. I'm considering an alumnus. I know you are. Because I'm an alumnus.

There you go. I never took classes at Second City. You just did the ETC. There you go.
