K.O.T.Y(Mamba Mentality)

Kobe was one of the people who inspired me to strive for being the best artist and lyricist I can be. I admired how he always challenged himself and never settled. He taught me how to not only be hungry for greatness, but to be STARVING. His eagerness to challenge the best made me understand the game and redefine my approach with my music. This song was produced, mixed, written, filmed, and edited all by me. Lyrically, this is the furthest I have pushed myself as far as BARS. I didn't just want to make cool rhymes, but I wanted to challenge myself to rhyme in ways that little to none are capable of doing, like rhyming with 3+ syllables, double/triple entendres, mastering the art of alliteration, and more. God has blessed me with the gift to sing and rap but I understand that my gifts aren't for me, they are for others so that I can give him glory through my gifts. I'm thankful for having such an influence like Kobe Bryant in my life to show me how to be an assassin while still remaining humble. His passing woke me up and made me realize how short our lives really are and that time waits for NOONE. So while I am here, living with the gifts God has given me, I will do all that I can to use my gifts and talents to inspire others to dig deep and find their own gifts God has given them so that this cycle of inspiration may be perpetual. Thank you Kobe, you will be missed. To my beautiful best friend Clotee Reyes, Rest In Heaven. You always supported my music and you saw greatness in me even when I was oblivious to it. I hope you're proud so far.... (R.I.P 09/30/17) HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!!!
