Kai Co co-founder responds to grocery sector report

The latest Commerce Commission report into the wholesale grocery market found dozens of rebate, discount, and payments schemes which see $6 billion a year flowing between suppliers and big supermarket chains, disadvantaged smaller players. Kai Co supermarket opened its doors in Christchurch earlier this year, promising to take on the big players. Co-founder and operations director Ethan Vickery spoke to Ingrid Hipkiss.
